Re: Bees need a new home!

Hi, I remember seeing Fingal Beekeeping Association down in the Turvey Allotments. They have a Facebook page as far as I know. Think anyone would be delighted to trade for some local honey! Best of luck.

Great news! Would be brilliant to be able to cycle over to Malahide Dart station too.

Re: What does Donabate / Portrane need?

I’m another one who has given up on the train. I now have to drive in to the city centre. All the posts here are correct and I agree with you but if the last two posters ever run for election I’d vote for you. In the meantime I will be quoting these on my doorstep. It would completely make sense to ...

Re: Elections

I’d say Bob Dowling and Corina Roche are looking like the two who will stand up and be counted. I’ve raised it with the others and got the usual but we’ve a housing crisis. That’s fair enough but doesn’t mean you can chuck thousands of houses into a village without proper infrastructure. Ive also as...

Darkness into the light

Does anyone know is Newbridge House one of the venues for Darkness into the light? I thought it was a couple of years ago but went to Malahide for the last few years.

Re: Shoreline Hotel

We were there over the Easter weekend and they had a really crap "special" menu which was at the extremely boring end of ordinary carvery fare (burger and chips, chicken curry, sea bass etc.). Service was appalling (we had a reservation for a table in the bar which they seemingly lost and didn't ma...

Re: Leaking Roof

Joe Brady the window cleaner also fixes roofs. He fixed flashing on ours. He’s a really good guy if it’s beyond him he’ll give you the number of another roofing specialist. His number is on the Donabate Village fb morning age if you don’t have it.

Re: Elections

At this stage I’m leaning towards Bob Dowling(I am not normally an FG voter). If the community wants anything to be done looks like he’d be the main route to the government and get that Tilsbury monstrosity stopped. Might give Mulville 2nd but that’s it.

Re: This place is getting worse

Have a feeling the local elections are going to get dirty. Donabate is a great place to live, we’ve been here 15 years and love it. Glad to see people standing up for our lovely village finally.. It does need new people and all the things that go with it but let’s face it the community here is not s...

Think it’s in the process of being set up now. Saw it on the local newsletter - I’d imagine it’ll be up and running very soon.

Re: Newbridge farm animals blocked from view

My problem with the theory of stopping the public from feeding the animals is that the people on the inside are feeding the animals too so sounds like bs to me! We were one the idiots who took out the annual pass a couple of years it was so badly run we didn’t even receive a pass nothing! We used to...
