Re: Public Meeting - Planning Moratorium - Tuesday 26th

Thanks for that "Those at the meeting heard that Donabate had generated €15.5m in rates and development levies last year, yet the operational expenditure budget for this year for the peninsula is less than €180,000. As a peninsula, Donabate has one road in and one road out." This quote alone shows w...

Re: Newbridge farm animals blocked from view

The lack of an annual pass is also somewhat of a disgrace. It wasn't replaced when the Shannon took over and I was told by one of the staff "its not something they seem interested in". An annual pass would have me there numerous times of the year and likely get them more trade in the coffee shop etc...

Re: Biggest Kick in the teeth to the people of Donabate so far

Those darn teenagers, removing a right of way...... I do actually agree with some of your post but the approach to development in the Donabate/Portrane area is appalling and unsustainable. The current housing "crisis" seems to lead people thinking that any development is better than no development. ...

Re: Biggest Kick in the teeth to the people of Donabate so far

Absolutely ridiculous. The Council are toothless when it comes to Developers - multiple ones breaking conditions working outside of building hours etc and nothing done about it. Just left for people to be walked all over. Materials left for months with seemingly no effort being made to remove them (...

Really struggling on who to vote for FF - Clifford-Lee - the whole sexism thing has me turned right off her. And its FF, it will be a while before I can vote for them again. I dont really want more development in the area based on nudges and winks FG - the state of transport here - they have made it...

Can anyone effected by this or who values a Bus Service please add a submission.

North Dublin Commuters are being totally ignored with this proposal and if no private operators come in to fill the void a valuable service will be lost

Nope (or rather I dont know), but no doubt they will get Kudos for building x amount of houses and hitting targets

Re: Houses Ballymastone Disaster

This is all we need. Social housing on our doorstep. Schools all full, two pubs, one shop train full at peak hours, no police presence. This is a disaster if it goes ahead. I don't care if this is not politically correct I don't want this on our doorstep, and I don't buy this whole everyone deserve...

Re: Building off Hearse Road

Jaysus, surely that access point is not the permanent one? its at a ridiculous section of road after the dip in the road out of Donabate. now don't you be complaining. we need as much housing as our land can handle. we need to go from a population of 9000 to 175000. We need to have all the social h...

Re: Train Overcrowdiing

Well said, massive population increase and no improved transport

Its an issue for all of Fingal not just Donabate

The that it has taken this long for the infamous "Rush & Lusk" train to stop in Donabate shows the lack of common sense and planning that is shown by Irish Rail

And they would be just shifting blame and not taking responsibility

It's just not a valid excuse. Why do kids need something to do at midnight when this happened for example

It's a shame that people won't be named and as such loads will get tarred unfairly

I do think it's a bit overblown in general but saying they have nothing to do doesn't cut it. Kids have never had more to do and more ways to do it

It's up to parents to take some responsibility, no matter how uncomfortable or inconvenient it may be

This not alot to do thing is a standard excuse. Its almost like not having any interests makes it ok to be a thug?

I would agree that I dont think they meant to burn the whole building down, but would we be as quick to use that excuse if throwing stones caused an accident or a fatality?

Fingal County Council have shown themselves to be at best incompentent in their attitide towards the peninsula.
