Re: NCH. The world's most expensive hospital

That's what happens where there is absolutely no accountability. It will end up costing more than the Burj al Arab in Dubai and that's literally gold plated inside.

The purpose of the chicane and the traffic island is to slow outgoing traffic to allow for easier egress from the new Semple Woods estate.
That makes more sense.

Re: Widening of road at bridge

That Island is so dangerous, I don't know what they were thinking, I'm glad there hasn't been ice on the roads yet this winter as it's an accident waiting to happen I dont understand it either. It's supposedly there for traffic calming, but it slows traffic leaving the village rather than entering ...

Re: New By Laws protest

I've listened to the arguements in the media and I can see both sides of this. As a dog owner, I don't let my dog off the lead. He's a Beagle and if he got the scent of something I'd never see him again. He's also hit and miss with other dogs so that's another reason for keeping him on lead. Therefo...

New Functionality - Ability to Like Posts

Hi,

We've added functionality to Like posts. This will allow posters show that they like/agree with a post without necessarily having to respond.

You'll see a thumbs up icon in the top right hand of the post. This will allow you either like or unlike a post that you previously liked.

I disagree. I clean up regardless of laws, or signs or what others would think. I don't like anyone getting s**t on shoes.
Same here. You're either the type of person that takes personal responsibility or you aren't. The existance of non-enforced laws makes no difference.

Has anyone heard any news on when the upper part of Beaverstown Road will be resurfaced? That's if they don't decide to dig it up again.

Re: New By Laws protest

I don't know why they bother with laws governing dogs as they are never enforced. Has anyone ever heard of anyone being prosecuted for their dog fowling? Has never happened as far as I'm aware. I can't see any change to the laws around dogs on leads being enforced either.

Astonishingly, Councillor Henchy submitted an observation supporting the developer despite wha...

F18A/0673 - Beresford

This is likely to be a trend we'll see going forward on the penninsula. Judging by exising developments, 4 beds in the €400+ bracket have been slow to shift. Cheaper 3 beds will become the norm.

Re: Hearse Rd upgrade

It does look odd. Not sure if it's part of the pedestrian crossing for the new Newbridge pedestrian entrance or some sort of traffic calming measure. Considering the buses and trucks that use the road, it does look narrow.

TOP on the Old Airport Road have it on pump. They're between the airport and Santry about a mile from the airport on the left hand side heading towards Santry. They only sell diesel and are more geared for trucks and buses so not your normal filling station. However, you see plenty of cars going in ...

Re: Eir TV and broadband

We had it up to about year ago. It's ok, but HD channels are very limited and cost extra. They also only allow you to have one box per house as more than that will likely cause lag. Basically not a patch on Sky, but priced cheaper so depends on what you're looking for. Sky also allow up to 3 boxes w...
