Recycling collection - Extra bags

Walking the mutt this morning, I noticed some driveways with an extra bag of recycling waste beside their green bins?

Does Panda lift these no problem?

It’ll save some visits to the recycling centre if so.

Re: Apache Pizza - Slow Delivery

It eventually came at 7.25pm

Two hours late and no apology. The young delivery guy just said they had taken too many orders.

The pizzas were good, but no better than Domino’s, so I’ll just order from them next time.

Apache Pizza - Slow Delivery

Decided to try out Apache Pizza this evening.

Ordered at 5.25pm online.

It’s 7.10pm. Still waiting.

Be warned.

Text Message looking for Customs Payment

Just be aware folks that a very slick text message scam is doing the rounds looking for a small customs payment on a package you are expecting. I'm sure you've been doing a lot of online shopping so this might catch you out. I got it this morning and it made me look twice. I normally can spot a scam...

I’ve got one at each for reasons I won’t go into.

Both very good schools, with very good principals.

You could nearly choose on the basis of which is closer or whether you prefer your child in a uniform.

Quite a few caravans down there now.

Council should take a drive around the area and block off those obvious staging areas.

Road Rager - Valium Needed

I'm not sure if it's the same guy, but on two occasions on the Portrane road over the last couple of days, I've seen a guy in a white car going mad when people in front of him pause to let cars out. Car horn going like nuts. Shouting obscenities out the window on one occasion. He turned into the Pri...

While you’re waiting on a 5G response, just a note to say I’ve tried all the providers and Vodafone has the best 4G local coverage in my experience (and per their coverage map).

Re: Sidewalk on Turvey avenue / R126 Portrane Road Enhancement Project

Another issue is lack of maintenance on existing footpaths.

The path further down the Portrane Road gets severely overgrown as does the path down to Donabate beach.

It makes the existing path less than a meter of usable space, forcing people onto the road to pass.

+353 (86) 816 4419 (Gerry O’Rourke).

He’s done a few extensions in the area and also the new lobby at the girls school.

I wonder did NULL get involved and stop them being switched on?

Re: Wearing of face masks

In fairness, most people in Donabate put on a condom when they go to an orgy so see no reason why they can't wear a mask.
Yeah, you would think so. But I was at one in Beverton hosted by a local joggers group and there was a guy from Mayo waltzing around au-natural without any consideration.

Re: Wearing of face masks

I’m happy to use a face mask and encourage everyone else to do so - but purely from a social cohesion point of view. Not medical. Any honest examination of the facts shows that they do very little to prevent virus spread. WHO actually advised against them early on. Maybe on a packed train they stop ...

Yep. There’s risks in life.

Some people don’t let their children cycle on the roads or play without supervision.

We all make our own choices.

There may never be a fully effective vaccine.’ Life must go on.

Re: Mini Euros Social Distancing

The current message is that Ireland will be fully unrestricted by August, so looking forward to the event.

If you’re nervous about attending, that’s understandable, but the experts are pretty unanimous that there is no risk to young kids with this virus.

Cycling the Bypass

It’s a nice walk, the bypass. The side entrance to Newbridge house is accessible along the old Kilcrea road. What I can’t understand though, is why some middle aged men in lycra still cycle along the road, holding cars up, when there’s a brand spanking new cycle lane right beside them. Answers on a ...

Re: Apple iPads for the Community College

My daughter Vladine’s iPad is 32gb. There was one occasion where the storage got tight but then they updated something and it was fine. Bottom line is that they said 32gb was sufficient as much of it was stored in the cloud. I figured, well why should I shell out 100 quid more if they say it’s not n...

As long as it’s not social housing, I say bring it on.

Lots of young people working in town need somewhere to live.

Just need to bump up the train service.
