Just in. Photographic evidence that Alan Farrell has actually set foot in Donabate. It's possible that he just popped over to buy a pizza in Smyths.

Re: New partially opened Donabate road to Portrane

I wrote visitors as i am reporting what happened. if you want to get this topic shut down, ok. its not a rant site. Lets report on Donabate impact as we experience it. There are enough people on this site to report to do this here. Agree re fears, i totally agree.

New partially opened Donabate road to Portrane

Seems there's been a large arrival of parked up visitors to the road there. a staggering number considering there are no amenities there.

new road system

putting traffic lights on the new roundabout..... groan.

I know we irish are shite at roundabouts, so to to cater for the gobshites, put a speed bump 20 metres before the roundabout surely rather than a half arsed version?

and the road is too narrow,

finished rant.

The wall that is being built runs up to existing railway Bridge wall so how would bridge ever be expanded?
The planning is as shite as we've come to expect.

Re: Hearse Road Closure

Expansion of road before railway bridge: they appear to be building an exit/entrance onto it off Prospect Hill development?!!!!

Seems there is more interest in getting the access done rather than the road widened, but maybe I'm just getting old and cynical. I assume a couple of houses going in there.
