Looking for advice please help

Post by ZoharN » 17 Aug 2018, 15:58

Hi, I am desperately looking for some advice - I am due my first baby next month and will be off work for about 10 months, returning to work around July 2019. We have no grand parents to help us out and have just moved to Donabate. I can't seem to find a creche for next year. Is child minder the only option? If so, what would be the range of cost normally? Any advice at all would be welcome!!! Thanks in advance.

My other half is a child-minder, depending on the hours you'd be looking for, expect to pay in the region of 40 - 60 per day. She'd usually do a discount for siblings.

Thank you!! I will be looking for someone to start around July 2019, baby will be around 10 months old. Would you know how long in advance do I need to start looking? Sorry first time and no experience whatsoever! Thanks in advance!

Hi Zohar! Try not to worry too much. Mindme.ie is a good childminding site. Local childminders are advertised as well as people who are looking for childcare. Enjoy baby and good luck!

Thanks:) I'll try. How long in advance do you think I should look for a child minder?

Hi, speaking for myself as a childminder, it is not practical to keep a place so far in adcance. So perhaps 3 months would be good?
