Flavours of Fingal traffic

Post by Bawner » 01 Jul 2019, 07:57

Any thoughts on traffic management for the Flavours of Fingal? I think the diversions were a small price to pay for such a popular family event. I drove from and to Donabate yesterday without too much hassle. Big improvement on the traffic chaos for access to the 2017 half marathon; that was an FCC blueprint on how not to do things

A big improvement over the last few years, we had no great issue getting out via the Hearse Road at lunch time yesterday or back in around 4:30pm.

At about 18:30, traffic was backed up from the motorway junction to the Tesco roundabout; 2 lanes of ~1km tailback. So anyone coming down from Blakes Cross direction, or leaving Flavours/Donabate via Turvey Avenue would have been impacted.
