Posting as requested by Lambay Sports and Athletics. If you have any questions, please add them to the thread and someone will be along to answer them.

LSA Women's Running and Walking group
Learn how to run a 5k in 8 weeks

Our new Couch to 5k (C25K) group is starting on Tuesday 3rd September – NO running experience necessary. We will have a registration evening on the 26th August at 8pm, venue to be confirmed.

Training times will be Tuesdays & Thursdays at 8pm and a 9.30am parkrun every Saturday morning for 8 weeks. You will achieve the best results if you attend all three sessions.

There will be a small fee of €40, payable at the registration evening. This covers your registration and insurance fee with Athletics Ireland. An LSA t-shirt will also be included in the price. After your initial registration, fees will be due every January thereafter.

Please let me know if you are a 5k+ runner and would like company and support for longer distances. We also have a Men's running group and a ladies walking group. Please PM me if you are interested in any of these groups.

Looking forward to seeing you at registration on the 26th August at 8pm.

Please feel free to share this post with your friends.
Regards,

Ken.

LSA's Couch to 5k registration is on Monday 26th August at 8pm in the Community Centre.

We have both women's and men's running groups, with different groups running from 5k's up to Marathon level. You can join these groups at any time. They meet at the Community Centre at 7.15pm on a Tuesday and Thursday. If running is not your thing or you would like to work up to running, we have a women's walking group. Please text 0872936509 for more details on fees etc if you are interested in any of the above groups.
