Urban Framework Planning

Post by Quello Serio » 09 Mar 2020, 15:48

Myself and my pitchfork were at the library on the night of the behind-closed-doors Urban Framework meeting last January.

It is becoming clear to me now why the council would be surprised about the community reaction to being excluded, because a leaflet I received describes the scope of the 'Urban Framework Planning'. This is not a joke, but the Urban Planning for Donabate, a town with a target population of 21,000 will:
Develop a Programme of Agreed Actions with the Community (i.e. traffic calming, community facilities, bicycle parking, planting, street paving, lighting, shopfront improvements, opportunity sites, etc)
It is... underwhelming.

Are you surprised? It seems to me that FCC couldn't care less about Donabate or it's residents. It's just a dumping ground for their allocation of new housing.
