Hi,
Just wondering if anyone in the area has had success with an indoor aerial to pick up some free stations. I'm thinking of something like this ...

Would be handy rather than having to set something up outside or in the attic, drilling, running cable etc.
Thanks
Indoor TV aerial
This thread on Boards.ie may be useful. Looks like you'll only get the Irish stations and can be hit and miss. For more variety and quality, a dish and freeview box are the way to go. Don't be surprised that retailers sell stuff that isn't really suited to the Irish market. DAB radios are a good example.

I bought one, a total waste of money. Didn't work at all.diggerbarnes wrote: ↑29 Jan 2022, 16:48 Hi,

Thanks Derek. Think I'll go the dish and outside aerial route.
Yeah that device above is no substitute for a satellite dish and a poor one for an aerial. We tried it in a mobile home where putting up dish or aerial wasn't an option then, and it didn't work at all for usdiggerbarnes wrote: ↑30 Jan 2022, 22:11 Thanks Derek. Hi
Late reply but wanted to say. My outside aerial was taken down by a builder (very long story) and we had two new TVs installed (by myself) . Electrician ran cables from the walls to attic and I used a powered aerial from PowerCity, in the attic. Split it with a powered splitter. SO far so good.
Not sure how you got on but I would defo try in the attic first.

Thanks a lot Nicholas! I put the whole thing on hold. I presume it was just coaxial cable through the ceilings and a power cable for the aerial? Any chance you could post links to the aerial and splitter? What channels are you getting? Not full list
Irish, English etc.
Cheers
